When the Joomla code is first installed or updated, there a number of settings I recommend changing. BUT FIRST, make sure you make a note of the META tags before you do the upgrade as they get lost on upgrade. Do this by logging into the administrator sub-site. Goto the Global Configuration section, go to the "Site" tab. Copy the values from the Meta Description and Meta Keywords to add them back after the upgrade.
After the upgradeEditor SettingsAgain log into the administrator sub-site. Goto Extensions->Plugin Manager then edit " Editor - TinyMCE 2.0" - change functionality to "Extended"
Global Configuration - Site SettingsGoto the Global Configuration section, go to the "Site" tab. I prefer to use TinyMCE - so set this in the Default WYSIWYG Editor field
META DataCopy the values from the Meta Description and Meta Keywords you saved before the upgrade. SEO SettingsEnsure all the SEO Settings are set to YES.
